Effective Monday Aug 3, 2015, Inmates at the White County Detention Facility will only be able to receive USPS (United States Postal Service) approved postcards. These are available at the post office and they come pre-stamped with no need to enclose them in an envelope to mail them. White County inmates may continue to send out letters but may only receive postcards. Money Orders will be accepted through the mail in an envelope, but a money order only in the envelope.  Legal mail coming into or going out of the facility will not be affected by this change. The postcard policy is being implemented as a faster and safer way to take the necessary security precautions in order to reduce the risk of contraband coming into the facility.
